Inspired by fungi foraging ventures, this collection explores the different mycelial types which each have unique branching formations. Mycelium is ecological connective tissue, the seam by which much of the world is stitched into relation.

Mycelium are incredibly tiny “threads” of the greater fungal organism that wrap around or bore into tree roots. A tree’s most important way of staying connected to other trees is a wood wide web of soil fungi that connects vegetation in a network that allows sharing of a massive amount of information and goods. This connection makes fungi something like the forest internet.

The dimensions for each piece in this series is 24 x 24in on wooden panel.
